SORRY NO PETS OR DRINKS PARTIES.
ENJOY THE UNIQUE EXPERIENCE OF 'CAMPING' ON MUDEFORD SANDSPIT.
Our hut is available for rent for times until the end of October when not in use by family and friends. Like other huts on Mudeford sandspit sleeping is permitted.
No 88 is in a great position on the harbour side of the spit close to the ferry landing stage, looking towards the sunsets over Christchurch Priory, but also has a glimpse of a Needles view to the back.
It is a traditional Mudeford beach hut - we have not added solar panels or a TV. It is our get away from the bustle where you can really relax and take in the Mudeford magic.
Sleeps 4 comfortably with extra mattress for a 5th if really needed. Bedding includes a Kyoto futon (sleeps 2), a single bed and two extra mattresses, and pillows... just need to bring your sleeping bags or duvets. It is equiped with gas lights, fridge and Vanessa Flavel cooker(2 burners, grill and oven), charcoal bbq, cooking utensils, cultery and crockery. There are plenty of chairs, 2 recliners and a picnic bench with parasol, windbreak etc. Storage also available under the hut.
The ferry landing stage, toilet/shower block, the Beach House cafe and land train station are a few steps away. During the summer the popular Beach House Cafe opens a small shop with a limited range of food stuffs.
The land train terminus is just 2-3 minutes walk and operates all year.
A ferry service operates to X'ch, Wick and Tuckton and a second to Mudeford Quay. The Mudeford ferry operates till the end of October but is dependent on the weather.
Charged car parking is available at Mudeford Quay and Hengistbury Head.
Contact us for hire terms. During the holiday peak times we prefer week hire - Saturday mid day to Saturday mid day. Long weekends out of the peak will be considered but single nights are normally not convenient.
Take advantage of unique peace and quiet, stunning views, and local wildlife; for painting, walking and twitching. The Spring and Autumn often have really nice weather and it is a chance to experience the essential character of the sandspit without the activity of the summer peak.
Sorry, NO PETS.
If you would like a professional picture or canvas of the area please see our son David's web site. He is also available for weddings, portraits, events, house portraits and can provide a competitive professional printing and framing service.
