Our family's hut was newly built in July 2008. Situated at the top of steps leading to Southwold's sandy North Beach, great view of the Pier and with facilities very close (Pier, toilet block, boating lake, pitch & putt). Everything the family could want for the beach is inside-even if it rains for a bit you'll be sitting pretty.
The hut nestles amongst sand dunes close to Le Strange Arms Hotel. Cafe/shop with hot food, ices, buckets,spades,kites etc 100 metres approx. Hut 8ft.x15ft. + balcony. Sink and cooker with two rings, grill and an oven. Chairs, crockery, cooking utensils all provided. Ideal safe beach for young children. Traditional seaside amusements and theatre at nearby Hunstanton. Available for day rental @ £20.
Our beachhut is located at the most sought after end of Southwold beach. The promenade at this spot does not have a steep drop to the beach as it does the nearer you get to the pier This makes it much easier for people to get on to the beach and is safer for children to play.The beach at this point is wide and sandy with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves.The beach hut is well equiped with a calor gas stove and everything you would need to make a simple meal and a nice cuppa.The hut is located very close to a beach cafe useful for the odd ice cream,chocolate bar or cold drink.The hut is well equiped with buckets,spades,wind breaks,chairs,sunloungers,crockery and cutlery.
Hut is located in front row prime position at Brackenbury Cliffs in an area known as the Dip. It is close to the toilets and the ice cream kiosk.
There is always something to see, be it the coastguard in their inflatable or rescue heicopter flying low over the sea,even the occasional USAF jet showing off. All that is in addition to the various vessels in the shipping lanes and smaller sailing boats.Looking out to sea is never boring and the sound of the waves washes stress away.
