This hut is in a prime location overlooking Chesil Bay with stunning views along the Dorset coastline, and is arguably one of the most desirable huts in this area. The hut has a large spacious grassy area to the front and the site is surrounded by foliage, giving good privacy. Inside is a bed with storage under, a small gas oven/hob, table and chairs, and assorted furniture. The hut benefits from a secure toilet cabin at the side containing a portaloo. The hut has been regularly maintained and painted and is in excellent all-round condition.
There are sloping grassy paths to the beach and nearby restaurant, toilet and showers, with other nearby facilities including the Cove Inn, car-park, skate-park. The hut is also within walking distance of the sailing harbour, and would make an ideal family base for the olympic games to be held here.
The hut is one of 40 private huts at West Wears. The land on which the huts are situated is held by the 40 owners through Launchkeen, a landholding company established in 1991 to preserve the land and area for the future. The new owner would become a shareholder of this company, and would be able to rebuild/refurbish the hut according to agreed specifications should they wish to do so.
