    Bournemouth Air Show Four Days
    Thursday 28th, Sunday 31st August

Whether you are art aviation enthusiast or you are just Looking for some free family fun, why not come down to the Seafront arid Lower Gardens?

Starting this historical aviation journey will be the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancastei Spitfire and Hurricane. The world famous Red Arrows will be taking to the skies three times (Friday at 3pm, Saturday at 12noon and Sunday at 3pm) loined by a newly restored Folland Gnat, once the flagship of the world famous display team. This fantastic formation was last seen over 30 years ago — cameras at the ready!

The UK’s premier military parachute display team RAF Falcons will be dropping in each afternoon. Also expect to see the Tucano, Tutor and Hawk training aircraft, the Royal Navy Black Cats Helicopter Display Team (featuring Lynx helicopters), Royal Navy Seahawks and the Army’s Blue Eagles. Make sure you watch out for Team Guinot Wing Walkers, Yakovlevs, The Blades and Falcon 20S— and don’t forget the Hunter, Mustang and Vampire.

Fun for all the family There will also be live music, family entertainment and an incredible ‘Big Bang’ firework display on Saturday night. And, as dusk falls the town will be lit up by a magical balloon glow; hot air balloons will take off from the seafront, float over the skies and ‘and in the Lower Gardens. But that’s not everything as the town centre will continue the celebrations into the late evening induding a music marquee and stage.

    Looking after our enviroment

Preparations for any major event are meticulous and this includes reducing the impact of this large-scale festival on our environment. While fossil fuels are undoubtedly used to power the majority of airborne craft involved in the air displays, more low impact activities and attractions, such as hot air balloons, have also been arranged. With this major event taking place on our doorstep, we hope many residents won’t be travelling out of town and we’re encouraging as many people as possible to use public transport to get around. We’ll also be providing extra rubbish and recycling bins along the seafront to ensure the town stays in tip-top condition.
