Pearly Bay, in association with Really Linda Barker launches search to find the UK’s most stylish hut
The humble beach hut has become the ultimate des res, selling for tens of thousands of pounds, with interiors to match. Pearly Bay wine, in association with interior specialist Linda Barker has launched a competition to find ‘The Toast Of The Coast’ - the most stylish hut in the country - and wants to hear from owners who think their hut is the ultimate beachside hideaway.
Perhaps your beach hut is decked out with quirky furnishings, filled with unusual furniture or painted in an imaginative way, which makes passers-by go green with envy?
Whether you have a pad on the pebbles or a shack on the sand, we want to hear from you and to get you on your way, celebrity interior designer Linda Barker has come up with top ten tips on how to transform even the most humble beach hut into a style statement. Linda will also be on the judging panel for the competition.
For added inspiration, Linda’s interiors company, Really Linda Barker (www.reallylindabarker.co.uk) sells online and by mail order, offers a range of imaginative home-wares and accessories from across the globe including Moorish candle lamps and elegant stacking baskets – ideal for beach huts and holiday homes.
Pearly Bay wines come from the southern Cape of South Africa, a vast stretch of heather-covered dunes where beach huts run the length of the sand. Summer drinking favourites include Pearly Bay Cape Red – an easy drinking, unwooded fruity red and Pearly Bay Cape White – a refreshing, fruity white wine with a crisp, dry finish. Perfect for laid-back drinking, these wines are priced from just £2.99 a bottle and are available from Morrison’s.
