Overview

“Time and Tide” is the perfect sanctuary for your beach retreat and ideally located near Steamer Point car park. This delightful beach hut is set back off the tarmacked path which heads off towards Highcliffe Castle, whilst at the same time it provides direct access to the (dog friendly) beach via a short ramp. It has fantastic views across to the Isle of Wight and Hengistbury Head and Mudeford. There are safety balcony rails in front looking directly onto the beach. The fabulous location gives you the best of both worlds: a dog friendly sandy beach immediately in front of the hut or a child friendly and award winning beach (no dogs allowed during the summer months) off to the right. Time and Tide is in a block of 11 huts newly built in 2015. Ours is the last one in the line, meaning you have bags of added free space and never more than one set of neighbours. Our hut comes with everything your party of six could possibly need for a day out at the beach, including two reclining chairs, several folding chairs, a folding dining table and a side table, a sun parasol, and what can prove very useful on windy day, a windbreak. It is well stocked with china mugs, melamine crockery, plastic tumblers and metal cutlery for six people together with pots and pans, a kettle and two separate gas stoves (gas not included but can be provided at an additional cost). It even has a bucket and spade! You just need to bring your beach towels and a tea towel! Car parking (chargeable) is directly behind the huts accessed via a sloping path. A standpipe providing fresh drinking water is less than a minute's walk away. A two minute walk brings you to the toilet block with shower and the Beach Hut Café where you can get the best ice creams and if you don't want to provide your own, all manner of refreshments from hot drinks to cooked lunches. If you wish to venture further afield, Mudeford Quay is just a short walk where you will find plenty going on including the Haven House Inn. En route you will pass the Noisy Lobster, popular for its seafood and fish and chips. Alternatively, a short walk in the opposite direction (westwards) will take you to Highcliffe Castle. It is either accessible from the beach via (fairly steep) steps or if you prefer you can walk on level ground through shady woods and the nature reserve - accessed from Steamer Point's car park. The castle and grounds are a great place to visit and also where there is a lovely garden café. PLEASE NOTE: the hut is for use only between dawn and dusk (no overnight sleeping). LOW SEASON/OFF PEAK HIRE = September until mid May. HIGH SEASON = from late May Bank Holiday to end of August Bank Holiday. Contact me for prices. The calendar is kept up to date. Please note I do not accept daily rents. A security deposit of £50 is payable at the time of booking. This is returnable within five days of the conclusion of the rental period once keys are are returned and the hut checked for loss and damage. The full rental is payable 14 days prior to the collection of the keys.

A fabulous beach hut in the best location - beautifully kept, in immaculate order with all the little extras already in place so you literally just need to put the key in the door and away you go! Comfortable reclining chairs were very much appreciated. We had a lovely week at Easter, weather was mixed but that didn’t matter because the doors with windows meant we could still enjoy the spectacular view whilst keeping out of the breeze. Then when the sun shone, parasol up with space outside to pop the table and chairs. Added bonus this hut is the end one so it feels private. Quick mention about the excellent communication from the owners, very happy to help and always responds without delay. We will most definitely book this hut again- faultless. Thank you, oh and car park very easy indeed as it’s logged with ‘RingGo’ which means (if you have the app on your phone) you can top up your time from your deckchair. We also loved having the cafe, ice cream, and facilities within easy reach but just that little bit away from the hustle and bustle. We felt privileged to enjoy such a lovely space - thanks again!
