Portland Bill lies at the heart of the amazing Jurassic Coast and has a unique landscape, flora & fauna. Renowned too for sailing, birdwatching, rock climbing, lichens, and portland stone. To name but a few.
Currently a fantastic studio, this hut (blue shutters) measures 6m x 4m and is a veritable tardis with space and height inside for any creative and messy work. Space too outside for stone sculpting. Some know it as the "wavy" hut due to the broad elm boards - unlike any other hut at Portland Bill. The felt roof was replaced only last summer.
The neighbouring hut (yellow shutters), also up for sale (22,000), shares the same fabulous view straight to the sea and an even larger window. The chemical loo is separate at the back, as is a storage unit for gas bottles etc. Inside, with cooker, sink, carpet and electrical circuit with solar energy.
The two together are an ideal artist's retreat, or family retreat, or anyones' retreat…discount available if buying both.
Set back from the activity of the coastal footpath, with vehicle access and parking beside them, these huts have a prime spot. There is a water tap in the field. You need to sign an agreement with the landowner for siting each hut, and pay an annual fee, currently £410 per hut.
