The only place in the country with an exclamation mark in the town name has the beach huts to match and they definitely all have their very own mark!

Colourful and unique, the beach huts here are a variety of colour and space. Separated by sweet white picket fences and tiny gates, each detached plot is surrounded by picturesque green grass and adorably finished painted designs. Each hut has its own individual identity but share the same thing in common, an absolutely glorious view over the sea.

A simple stroll along the sea front to the left will take you to the locally known ‘haunted house’, the most photographed house in the area. Follow the path to the right and you’re presented with numerous shops, bars and restaurants to delight and enjoy, there's also a lovely open green space to picnic on the seafront where you can let the kids roam free to climb or play on the pint sized playground equipment nearby.

There is free parking on the west side of the seafront and quotes from famed British writer Rudyard Kipling, author of the Jungle Book, written in stones adorning the pavement where the tide rises to when it's in and a sea pool to bathe in while the tide is out.

This is the best beach hut spot if you prefer an uninterrupted view of the ocean and an easy walk to dine or shop and the ideal place to watch the waves roll in or enjoy a cosy night/day snuggled up that will feel like a world away.
